You might as well see it for yourself...

Since I have left you with nothing but empty promises and lack, I'll fill that desolate, vacant area with color and my perception of healthy eye exercise.

BUT FIRST!

The trip was 100% well worth all the driving. Having James and Tabitha with us ruled. They did better than expected. At least Tab and I did. Please, I don't want to remind everyone about Jim's natural born perfection. Boston was simply to cold to enjoy outside activities so we stuck around the Pearl and visited with the family. We did venture out to see M&M (sadly they don't melt at all) along with some other people that proceed to beat all odds by continuing to enjoy my company. When I really throw my back into thinking about it, I am astounded I haven't felt the need to whack them either. In all likelihood, that's what keeps this relationship ball rolling. Unless they simply aren't telling me when they want to whack me. Or, they haven't hit me because deep down they know once they start, they won't be able to stop...

We went from MA to KY by way of the Shenandoah National Park. Just do it. You know you want to. I'd break it down for you but my mind has it noted as LOVELY so that's all you get. I'm in love with PA and would move there in a split second. I am trying my hardest to get Mr. F to cave. We do have Tabitha after all, so it is possible. Virginia has been logged as CREEPY. What an odd lot of people. KY was. Hmm. Beautiful. Fun. Noisy. Stock full of people who have clearly never gone outside the county. They were super friendly with a staring problem. On the way back I was poised and ready to snap a picture of a tornado. There were many warnings of them but it never happened. Maybe next time.

So back home and slightly care free. Mr. F and I have been partaking in Pilates together. That's right, I have one giant ball. I have been looking for a work out I *want* to do rather than one I force myself through because I *should*. Found it. Mr. F got the "Go Fit" Pilates ball and wouldn't you know it, there was a DVD as well. It's a complete workout that is tough but totally fun and do-able. The instructress is great. Reminds me to keep my posture and breathe. Sure, she can't count and says things like "feet, legs, bottom feet" but you won't hear me complaining. She tells me she knows I'm tired and then encourages me at the exact right moments. We're BFF.

Remember how I wanted to build a bird aviary around the tree out back. I went and got a bird feeder and some seeds. I get my fill of birds without having to take care of them. Perfect. We have a rock dove that comes right into the yard (where we are sitting and the dogs are milling about) to pick up what the other birds spilled. I'm calling her action brave instead of stupid and her name is Betty. There is also Sal. Pretty sure he's another dove. He's to big to fit on the feeder so I put seeds on the wall for him. The Purple Finch are red but pretty enough that we forgive the name. They show up with all these other sparrows and brighten that corner of the yard up.

Here's one of the promised slideshows. Slide only allows 50 pictures at a time. I'm tired so I'll add the others later. Oooo... I might even get to the yard start to finish!!

Lesson learned: It might not resemble what it's called, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it for what it is.
