All it takes is me thinking I can do better

or having the day arrive where I feel the need to do it myself. SD takes a BAD ASS underwater picture. We went on a morning dive yesterday. The sea was incredibly flat and the visibility was superb. Here are some of the pics he got:

These first two are from the day before when we went out later in the day. These are an awesome example of the murk I was trying to explain...

Now for yesterday morning when there was very little murk and lots of magic...

Gray Angelfish

Juvenile Gray Angelfish

Juvenile Queen Angelfish.

Here's the other panned out version just so you can understand how much they pop with color...

I am almost positive this is Palmer's Sea Rod.

Spotted Trunkfish

Gray Triggerfish

Male Stoplight Parrotfish in the front, two Triggerfish in the middle, some Porkfish in the background and a slew of little unidentified guys everywhere else.

Pied (or White Spined) Sea Urchin

Inshore Lizardfish

Nurse Shark

Yellow Stingray

GREEN SEA TURTLE!!!

My underwater camera case was shipped my way today. I am so excited. The chop and current were so bad today that we decided to simply frolic about and body surf. This place is so awesome...

Quote of the day
Oh my god... if that doesn't get a girl wet in the pants, taking her to an underwater restaurant, then I'm lost.

SD does indeed take a bad ass underwater photo. Why he waited so long to prove this is the only mystery...kids these days.

I think it helps a lot when you have someone screaming enthusiastically and pointing at everything with gusto. He wouldn't even have seen the turtle had I not gone totally out of control and swam off with the dive flag in tow.
